Premio Tomás Ruíz Argüeso (Tesis Doctoral)

As part of its activities to promote knowledge of biological nitrogen fixation and beneficial plant–microorganism interactions aimed at sustainable agriculture and environmental protection, SEFIN biennially announces the Doctoral Thesis Award for early-career researchers.

With this award, SEFIN pays tribute to Tomás Ruíz Argüeso (In memoriam 1943–2020), Professor of Microbiology (UPM-CBGP) and Honorary Member of SEFIN.

Applicants for the I Tomás Ruíz Argüeso Doctoral Thesis Award must have defended their doctoral thesis between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2025, must have been SEFIN members in the year of thesis defense, and must have made relevant contributions in the field of beneficial plant–microorganism interactions.
