Having considered the merits presented by the candidates competing for the 2nd Antonio J. Palomares Award 2013, the Board of Directors of the Society, meeting on May 27, 2013, has decided to award the Prize to Dr. Mª Socorro Mesa Banquerí (Department of Soil Microbiology and Symbiotic Systems, Zaidín Experimental Station, CSIC, Granada).
