Having considered the merits presented by the candidates competing for the 1st Antonio J. Palomares Award 2010, the Board of Directors of the Society, meeting on February 19, 2010, has decided to award this Prize to Dr. Raúl Rivas González (Department of Microbiology and Genetics, Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, University of Salamanca).
